Rescue Task Force



Rescue Task Force (RTF) is a San Diego County based non-profit relief agency that responds to natural and man-made disasters world-wide.

Rescue Task Force was founded in 1988 and has a wide range of disaster management projects - from the jungles of Central America to the mountains of Kosovo, from tsunami ravaged Thailand and Sri Lanka and the interior of Afghanistan to hurricane and fire disaster stricken communities in the United States.

RESCUE TASK FORCE's volunteers have delivered over $48 million worth of medical supplies, food clothing, household supplies and disaster relief materials. RESCUE TASK FORCE projects include medical clinics, clean water systems, disaster responses, backpacks and ‘self help’ projects and they depend on donors and corporate sponsors.

NGOs in Gaza



The people of Gaza region in the Middle East have been facing constant struggle for the last few decades mainly due to continuous political unrest in the region. You can help the people of Gaza directly by getting in touch with a charity or NGO and Relief International has been involved in a lot of work in the region providing help to families and children.

Relief International is an NGO assisting displaced families in Iraq, they provide health care and nutrition to children in Darfur and they have also been providing immediate first aid and emergency relief to many injured people in Gaza along with provisions of long term care to people wounded physically and emotionally. Please donate and help them to help the people of Gaza.

The DREAM Project



The Dominican Republic Education And Mentoring (DREAM) Project, is a nonprofit organization, providing education for all deprived children born into poverty in rural areas and small communities of the Dominican Republic.


Activities of the DREAM project include: (as given on their website)

• Building classrooms, libraries, computer and science labs and sport recreation areas
• Securing books, school supplies and educational materials
• Partnering with public schools
• Operating private preschool classrooms
• Operating youth groups and summer camps
• Empowering local communities by providing models, resources and training
• Raising awareness within the international community
• Soliciting international volunteers; and
• Training Dominican teachers and local community members

According to the website of the NGO, the vision of the group is that:

'all children born in the Dominican Republic should have the opportunity to receive an education and learn to their full potential, allowing the opportunity for every child’s gifts and challenges to be met with support nationwide'.
